CIPS and FMB both release numbers on recession

08/04/2010

The latest CIPS numbers show that construction has expanded for the first time in over two years, but the FMBs show that at least one sector - the small builder sector - is still contracting.

For some excellent analysis see Brian Green's pieces...
on the CIPS - http://brickonomics.building.co.uk/2010/04/joy-deferred-as-cips-shows-construction-activity-grows-for-first-time-in-two-years/
on the FMB - http://brickonomics.building.co.uk/2010/04/local-builders-still-deep-in-recession-says-latest-fmb-survey/

And remember that Brian is speaking at the CIMCIG Housing sector seminar, run in collaboration with Housebuilder magazine - http://www.cimcig.org/events.php?id=247
