Free report on new construction output by sector 2006 2009

Last Friday the ONS released construction output data for Q4 2009, which showed a 0.5% increase in total 'new output on the Q3 figures in current prices (5.3% in constant prices). This is the first increase in the quarterly output since 2008 Q1. However, the trend differs by sector with some areas in growth and others, such as new private commercial, still in decline.
Leading Edge have analysed new construction output by sector over this period to show how the market has changed during the boom and bust years and what has happened in each of the following markets - public, commercial, housing (public & private), infrastructure and industrial.
