SED postponed
08/01/2010
SED - the plant and equipment trade show, has been postponed. The 2010 event will not take place, and the next one will be in 2011.
The organisers believe that the construction market will not improve enough to allow marketing budgets to extend to paying for stands at the show until the end of 2010. Also they are conscious that this sector has two other events to pay for this year - Hillhead and Bauma - and that a third is probably not welcome.
"We know that for those of you who already have a commitment to Bauma or Hillhead, a year's grace from SED will most certainly relieve pressure on your 2010 promotional budgets," they say on their website.
SED has, in the past, been biennial. But there is no suggestion from the organiser that this move heralds a return to that frequency.
