Join CIMCIG
It’s easy to join CIMCIG. There are 3 basic methods:- Existing CIM Member: If you are already a CIM member you can join CIMCIG for free. Simply contact the membership department at the CIM Moor Hall (CIM, Moor Hall, Cookham, Berkshire, SL6 9QH – 01628 427 120 – membershipinfo@cim.co.uk) and ask to be added to the CIMCIG database.
- CIMCIG Only Member: There are no prequalifications for joining CIMCIG which costs £54 per annum. To join simply download the application form (336kB Adobe PDF) or send your details together with a cheque, made payable to CIM, to: CIM, Moor Hall, Cookham, Berkshire, SL6 9QH
- Become a CIM and CIMCIG member: For a little more you can join CIM and receive all the benefits of this professional chartered body. There are six types of CIM membership available:
Affiliate Member (studying)
Fees are UK membership £130, International membership £93
Affiliate member (studying) is necessary for those studying for a CIM qualification.

Affiliate Professional
Fees are UK membership £100, International membership £80
Affiliate Professional membership allows those who do not qualify for higher membership grades to take full advantage of the benefits and services of CIM. There are no specific requirements for this membership grade.

Associate Member
ACIM fees are UK membership £145, International membership £120

- CIM postgraduate diploma;
- university degree majoring in marketing;
- equivalent diploma in marketing;
- equivalent marketing professional body examination;
- recognised university degree or chartered professional body admission examination;
- NSVQ level 4 in marketing.
Full member
MCIM fees are UK membership £145, International membership £120
To qualify members must have 3 years practical experience in marketing of which one year must have been in management. For non-marketing related qualifications, a minimum of 6 years experience with at least 2 years in management is required.
Academic qualifications of one of: CIM postgraduate diploma; university degree majoring in marketing; equivalent diploma in marketing; equivalent marketing professional body examination; recognised university degree or chartered professional body admission examination; NSVQ level 5 in any subject.

FCIM fees are UK membership £160, International membership £130
To qualify members must have a proven record of expertise and strategic responsibility at Chief Executive, Senior Marketing executive or Senior academic level for at least 3 years. Marketing consultants may be elected to fellowship provided they have operated in this capacity for at least 5 years, either developing their own business or with a major marketing consultancy, and have worked with high profile companies.
Academic qualifications as MCIM.
To qualify members must have a proven record of expertise and strategic responsibility at Chief Executive, Senior Marketing executive or Senior academic level for at least 3 years. Marketing consultants may be elected to fellowship provided they have operated in this capacity for at least 5 years, either developing their own business or with a major marketing consultancy, and have worked with high profile companies.
Academic qualifications as MCIM.
Chartered Marketer
Awarded by CIM in recognition of practical experience, expertise and sound theoretical knowledge.
It can only be held by Full members or Fellows who are committed to and have completed two consecutive years of CPD.
